Handfasting is a medieval, Celtic wedding ritual in which a Druid ties the bride's and groom's hands together, hence the phrase “tying the knot.”  It was also part of a normal marriage ceremony in the time of the Roman Empire.  There are many aspects of a Handfasting Ceremony, including the groom holding a Celtic sword pointed downward, and drinking mead from a drinking horn.  This Celtic Ceremonial Handfasting Horn has a burned, carved cross with Celtic designs inside it.  The horn is polished inside and out and comes with a hand forged twisted iron rack.

* Please note there may be a slight odor as this is a natural item. The color and shape may vary and may not be exactly like the picture.  Item may have minor scratches due to buffing and because it is a natural material. When measuring this item we measure it at the spine. This is an all-natural item and you will need to coat inside with beeswax. In order to do this you will melt the beeswax and pour it in the horn. Wait for it to dry and then pull it out. Please wash with a gentle detergent and polish with vegetable oil to keep it from drying out. And from time to time you will want to use beeswax to coat the inside to keep from cracking.  The variations in their shapes and colors can only be made by nature; thus a horn may have natural blemishes which will not affect its functionality but does verify its authenticity.
