Dragon's Breath Armory (DBA) will accept return of products within 30 days of ship date from our warehouse, with some restrictions as noted below.
Customers must first contact DBA requesting return authorization. Email Returns@DragonsBreathArmory.com. You will be required to provide the following information:
- DBA Item Number if applicable
- Invoice Number from original shipment/receipt of item
- Quantity to be returned
- Reason for request
All product returns must be accompanied by a DBA RMA document - with the RMA number clearly visible on the outside of the package.

Additional product returned but not authorized on the RMA document will not be accepted as a return or reimbursed. The product will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense and shall not be reimbursed or credited. Returns must be sent via traceable carrier (aka with tracking) for validation of receipt of goods and for insurance compliance.
All returns will be processed in a timely manner and credits will be applied to your account. Generally, once we receive the return, the refund is processed the same day. Your bank or card company may take longer to process refunds. Once we process the refund, we will notify you via email, at that time, you will be waiting on your bank or card company to release the refund. Please note:
- ALL products returned will be assessed a 25% restocking fee, unless the return is the result of an error made by DBA.
- If the manufacturer assesses a fee exceeding 25%, or additional shipping for the replacement, the customer will be assessed the difference in addition to the DBA restocking fee accordingly.
- All freight charges assessed to the return are the responsibility of the customer and will not be reimbursed by DBA unless the return is a result of an error made by DBA. Freight for a return of a defective product will not be reimbursed by DBA.
Dragon's Breath Armory will not accept return of or issue credit for the following items (including, but not limited to):
- Knives, Multi-tools, Saws, Axes, Swords or other tools that have been used
- Body Armor including medieval body armor
- Defense/Pepper Spray
- Items that are labeled ‘Discontinued’ by DBA or the manufacturer.
- Undergarments (including but not limited to: underwear, socks, t-shirts, base layers)
- Personal Communications Products (Including EarHugger [VIDMIC] and Code Red Headsets Products)
- All PDU Apparel (Professional Dress Uniform)
- Smith & Wesson Component Kits and Parts
- Product with retail price marking of any type
- Opened packages or packages showing evidence of tampering
- Product not in original packaging, including case pack goods
- Forensic testing supplies, equipment or drug and or alcohol testing kits
- First aid or trauma treatment products
- Worn or shopworn products
- Any special order products (including but not limited to): specific apparel fits, vehicular modification or customization products, special sidearm holsters or carriers, any apparel with custom embellishment, any hard goods requiring special embellishment, any product purchased for fulfillment of agency purchase order.
Any item returned not in accordance with this written policy will not be accepted as a return or reimbursed and will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
High capacity magazines will not be shipped to the following locations unless the appropriate permit authorizing receipt is on file prior to shipment. There may be exceptions to these restrictions for military and law enforcement orders. Please contact your customer service representative for further information.
California - No magazines over 10rds.
Colorado - No magazines over 15rds.
Connecticut - No magazines over 10rds.
D.C. - No magazines over 10rds.
Hawaii - No pistol magazines over 10rds.
Aurora, IL - No magazines over 15rds.
Chicago, IL - No magazines over 15rds.
Franklin Park, IL - No magazines over 16rds.
Oak Park, IL - No magazines over 10rds.
Riverdale, IL - No magazines over 35rds.
Maryland - No magazines over 10rds.
Massachusetts - No magazines over 10rds.
New Jersey - No magazines over 15rds.
New York - No magazines over 10rds. (The law states that one cannot load more than 7 rounds in the magazine)
Ohio - No magazines over 30rds.
APO/FPO - No shipments of any kind.
Other legal restrictions apply for Tasers and some pepper spray. Please consult your local government to ensure that you are compliant within the law.
Some details on AR-15 Style weapon restrictions can be found below. In no way is this a fully detailed list of restrictions.
You should do your own research and determine which laws and restrictions pertain to you. We will research restrictions before processing any sale.
Sales relating to Firearms, Ammunition, and Firearm Components may incur an additional 1 to 2 business days processing time.
All firearms, ammunition, and components sales are final.
California– No magazines with a capacity of more than 10 rounds. Any handguns purchased must be on CA approved list. AR-15s and other semi automatic rifles must comply with CA assault weapons ban. Most AR-15s will require a "Bullet Button" to be installed in order to comply with CA law. Please check all state laws before purchasing any AR-15 accessories, including stocks, upper receivers, etc. as these products may not comply with the CA AWB. Chemical cleaning products (such as Birchwood Casey) cannot ship to CA. Many CA cities and counties do not allow for mail-order purchase of ammunition. NFA items (silencers, short barreled rifles, etc.) are not legal for civilian ownership. Check all local laws before ordering.
Cook Co./Chicago, IL– No magazines with a capacity greater than 10 rounds. Firearms must comply with Assault Weapons ban. All IL state laws also apply (see below).
Colorado– No magazines with a capacity of more than 15 rounds. Magazines cannot be readily convertible to hold more than 15 rounds. Shotguns may not have a capacity of more than 8 rounds. The city/county of Denver has additional laws regulating assault weapons and AR-15 style rifles must comply.
Connecticut– As of October 1, 2013, CT residents must go through an approved background check to purchase ammo. Acceptable proof of background checks include: a valid permit to carry a handgun, a valid eligibility permit to purchase a long gun or handgun, a firearm dealer's permit or a valid ammunition eligibility certificate and photo ID. Customers are responsible for following all state/local laws, and by purchasing ammunition from this website you confirm that you meet all legal requirements to possess the ammunition in your state.
As of April 1, 2014, all CT residents must have an approved permit to purchase a long gun. Acceptable permits include a long gun eligibility certificate, a valid permit to carry a handgun, a valid resale permit for handguns/long guns, a valid hand gun eligibility certificate, or the resident must be a current federal marshal, parole officer or peace officer. The same restrictions apply to a hand gun purchase. In order to purchase a firearm from Gamaliel Shooting Supply, you must comply with the above regulation in order to pick up the firearm from your local FFL dealer.
Magazines that hold more than 10 rounds are prohibited.
Any semi-automatic rifle must comply with the CT assault weapons ban. Please check all state laws before purchasing firearms or any accessory that may not comply with the AWB (collapsible stocks, upper receivers, etc).
Hawaii– All firearms must be registered with the local police chief. No handgun magazines with a capacity of more than 10 rounds. "Assault Pistols" are prohibited and any handguns must comply with the assaul pistol law. NFA items are prohibited.
Illinois State– Anyone purchasing ammo or firearms must have a valid FOID card. Muzzleloaders must ship to an FFL dealer in IL. NFA items are not legal in IL. Cook County and the city of Chicago have additional laws regarding the purchase/possession of ammo, firearms and magazines. See Cook County entry above. Gamaliel Shooting Supply requires a copy of a valid FOID card and either Illinois Driver License or Illinois State Identification card prior to shipment. The ammunition may be shipped only to an address on either of the two documents. Before ordering, Illinois customers are responsible for ensuring that they can legally receive firearms/ammo. orders in IL.
Iowa– NFA rifles and shotguns are prohibited. Silencers are legal to purchase.
Maryland– No magazines with a capacity of more than 10 rounds (Magazines with a capacity of 11+ rounds possessed prior to October 1, 2013 are grandfathered in. They may not be transferred to a new owner.). Handgun purchases must be on the MD approved list. Check state/local laws before purchasing ammo or reloading components online.
Massachussets– No magazines with a capacity of more than 10 rounds. Handgun purchases must be on the MA approved list. MA has a current assault weapons ban that restricts many features on semi-automatic rifles. Check state/local laws before purchasing uppers, flash hiders, stocks, etc. that may not comply. Check state/local laws before purchasing reloading components online. NFA items are prohibited. Ammo can only be purchased if an FID card or License to Carry Firearms is on file.
New Jersey– No magazines with a capacity of more than 15 rounds. NJ has a current assault weapons law that prohibits common semi-auto firearms based on their appearance. Please check state/local laws before ordering flash hiders, pistol grips, stocks, etc. for semi automatic rifles. NFA items are prohibited.
New York State– No magazines with a capacity of more than 10 rounds. Magazines may only be loaded to a maximum capacity of 7 rounds unless at a shooting range, while hunting or at the owner's home. Tubular 22LR magazines are exempt from this law. NFA items prohibited. NY enacted a new assault weapons ban on January 15, 2013. Any assault weapons purchased/transferred after that date are unlawful. Any assault weapon purchased prior to January 15, 2013 is grandfathered but must be registered with the state by January 15, 2014. The assault weapons ban restricts several popular features on common semi automatic rifles. Please check local/state laws before ordering AR-15 rifles, uppers, stocks, grips, etc. Due to frequently pending legislation, please check all local and state laws before ordering ammunition, firearms or reloading components online. NOTE: Many cities in NY state have additional laws limiting firearm ownership, including NYC, Buffalo, Albany and Rochester.
As of January 14, 2013, all ammunition shipped to NY State must be delivered to an FFL dealer and picked up by the buyer after a background check has been complete. No ammunition will be shipped directly to NY residents. Please check with your local dealers for more information.
New York City– All NY State Laws Apply. Magazine capacities are reduced to 5 rounds for long guns and 7 rounds for hand guns. NFA items prohibited. NYC has several additional regulations in their assault weapons ban compared to NY State. The assault weapons ban restricts several popular features on common semi automatic rifles. Please check local/state laws before ordering AR-15 rifles, uppers, stocks, grips, etc. Due to frequently pending legislation, please check all local and state laws before ordering ammunition, firearms or reloading components online.
Ohio– Magazines with a capacity of more than 31 rounds are prohibited unless used with a properly registered NFA firearm. 22LR, Short and Long firearms are exempt from the magazine restriction.
Rhode Island– NFA items (also known as Class 3 items) are prohibited.
Vermont– Silencers are prohibited.
Washington, DC– D.C has extremely strict laws regulating the purchase and possession of firearms and ammunition. All firearms must be registered with the DC PD. It is extremely difficult to be approved for a firearm purchase in D.C. Ammunition can only be purchased/possessed in the same caliber as the firearm(s) legally registered to you. Possession of any other ammo caliber/gauges is illegal. D.C. has an assault weapons law with which all firearms must comply. No magazines with a capacity of more than 10 rounds. NFA items are also prohibited. Please do not order any firearms, ammo or reloading components shipped to a Washington D.C. address unless you fully understand all relevant laws regarding the possession and purchase of these items.
